I'm a Multimedia Journalism student at Bournemouth University currently in the final year of my studies. As part of my third year, I have to create a Major Multimedia Project (MMP) on a chosen platform that is set towards a targeted publication.

Sports journalism is a big passion of mine, and my favourite sports include football and boxing. As an avid viewer of this action, I have always wondered what life is like for an athlete who suffers an injury.

I feel that this MMP offers the perfect platform for me to explore this issue in greater depth, and I am really relishing the opportunity to speak to professionals as part of this project.

I have chosen to go down the print route, the platform that I feel gives me the scope to illustrate the emotive journey of an injured athlete.
